Argyle United Methodist Church engaged BBA – A to help them relocate from an older building tucked away on a hidden side street to a new 20 acre site with great frontage and visibility. The church was already experiencing growth under a new young pastor and they knew that the new location and new building, if done well, would bring even more growth. That was great news, but also challenging as they knew this growth would require that much more space to be paid for initially by the existing pool of members. This made utilizing every dollar to its utmost the highest priority and is one of the areas we know we provide a tremendous advantage for our churches. .
The Master Plan allows for Argyle to become one of the metroplex largest Methodist Churches and utilizes a Grand Mall to orient every major space in the church along this major circulation spline. This allows a large church to have obvious entry points that all bring members and guests alike into an intuitive internal navigation environment. The master plan includes room for a major school, and activity center and worship for over 2,000 should it be needed.
We think this Phase One to Master Plan relationship is a great example of how we strategize to help a church prepare for future growth while making sure that early phases make perfect sense as the Master Plan progresses and are also affordable so the church can continue its full ministry.
